MANA Pool Party 2022 [Aug 6]

Hello MANA neighbors!

The MANA neighborhood pool party is back on! We hope you can join us on Saturday, August 6, from 6:00 - 8:00 at the Medlock Pool. The event is potluck and MANA will provide proteins and a few sides. Everyone is welcome: MANA members can enter free WITH a potluck dish. Non-members can pay $5 per person without a potluck dish or $3 per person with a potluck dish (kids 12 and under are $2). You can certainly become a MANA member onsite! Please bring your own chairs, plates, utensils and pool gear. Also, if your dish contains any allergens (peanuts, gluten, etc.), please make a note to put next to the item. 

Lastly, we are looking for 4-5 volunteers to help before or during the event. If you are interested in helping out or have any questions, please reach out to Kim Groover at 702-271-3257 or kimgroover@gmail.com.

Another great MANA pool party

Big thank you to all the MANA volunteers who make this year's pool party possible! Special kudos and thanks to Emily (MANA social chair) and Adrianne, Barb (for Community BBQ arrangements) and to Stephen and Judy for sponsoring the King of Pops cart.

A lovely pool party

Thanks to Emily and David Mann for doing the lion's share of organizing and grilling for the MANA pool party last weekend. MANA contributed drinks, stuff for the grill and enough King of Pops to go around.

Thanks to everyone who helped set up and break down the party and entertainment, and to those who brought side dishes and stuff for the grill and helped get tables and grills there and back (shout-out to Stephen Perras, Kathryn Firago and Tom Wellnitz!). The weather was lovely, the pool was refreshing and uncrowded, and the food was delicious. We had a great turn-out, with lots of toddlers and children.  It was a great opportunity to meet new neighbors and catch up with old friends. What a neat place we have here. See you at the 2013 pool party!

MANA will be providing hamburgers and hot dogs for the annual pool party and potluck on August 14th, but we need several grills and grillers. If you have a grill you could lend us for a few hours and/or you would be willing to oversee our burgers and dogs that night, please contact Amy Valk via Facebook. Hope to see everyone on the 14th!

Annual Medlock Community Summer Pool Party At Risk! Need Volunteers!

Each year we've hosted a popular and well-attended Medlock Community Pool Party and Potluck. It is always a tremendously fun and relaxing event to celebrate summertime at our neighborhood pool in Medlock Park.

This year, however, we do not have ANY volunteers to help plan the event! While we asked at the community meeting last month, we thought we'd ask one last time in this e-news hoping a few of you will reconsider and step up to form a "Pool Party Planning Team"!

If you'd be willing to help, please send a MANA an e-mail at medlockassoc@gmail.com by May 1st. We have a budget and some prior year planning steps to help make it just that much easier to volunteer, too.
